Winter walk

The perfect antidote to watching hours of Olympic curling on the television is to have an afternoon walk. But there is always time to stop and watch other people working!

My walk today took me past this ruin, on the old track leading to Langside. It's marked as a 'pump' on the 1861 OS 6-inch map.

What a lovely day it was. Cold and bright, and not a breath of wind.

We're on the east side of Annandale, looking north to the hills behind Moffat.

The road home.
