Steam at Lockerbie

Lockerbie Station, 11.45 this morning.

LMS Princess Class 4-6-2 Princess Elizabeth pulled the Railway Touring Company's excursion The Waverley from Liverpool Lime Street to Edinburgh Waverley today.

6201 was built in 1933 at Crewe. After nationalisation in 1948, she was renumbered 46201 by British Railways, and withdrawn from service in 1962. Since April 2009 the locomotive has been based at the Crewe Heritage Centre.

Heading north towards Beattock, somewhat behind schedule.
