February Snowdrops

February 10, the sun was shining, and there was even the hint of some warmth! The garden is looking very sorry for itself. Sometime soon it will need to have its early clear up.

No sign of any frogspawn in the pond yet. I wonder how the amphibians survived the very cold weather, or if they did?

There are welcome signs of a new season. See these little white patches in the foreground?

I've never planted snowdrops in the garden, but someone did in years past. I love how they just suddenly 'appear'!

This lot are just coming through the leaf litter.

  1. Ah spring. We have no sign of anything popping through the ground yet. Today giving us a little hint that spring might be in the air. It is 40 degrees (F) They are telling us on the weather report that this is temporary and we will have more winter weather again soon.
